I am currently doing some research for the music I want to make for the game. I have asked my group to provide me with some songs that sound like/reminds them of a factory so I can produce something along the same sound. Personally, when I think of factory music I think of any song from the cog places on toontown, but I don't think those songs really fit the theme of our game...
To create the music I will be choosing between Logic Pro or GarageBand (they are two different DAW's (Digital audio workstation's)). I will be using an interface (A software instrument, an instrument you plug into your computer) to create the songs and some sound effects for our game. My goal is to get 5 songs done, but that is ambitious. I chose to create songs for our project instead of using pre-existing songs, because having an original soundtrack for your game creates another way your game can be identified, which can help to promote your game! On top of that, having an original soundtrack means that the music will be catered to your game specifically making every track fit well and reflect your game.
