This is my final blog post for our narrative game. We demo'd our game and got some feedback. I heard that Hope liked my voice acting which made me smile, I'm honestly getting a big head about voice acting! I've received many compliments, If I get more I might just go and apply for a voice acting job!! Anyways, Hope suggested to add crying to one of the scenes with young Markus, and as we know the sound is my job. So I went on a hunt looking for a young boy crying sound which I luckily was able to find.
I failed to mention in my last blog, but we have started working on the documentation. I wrote Fred's, Lady Ophelia's and Robin's character bio's, I worked on the world bio and a little bit of the mechanics document. I actually enjoyed doing the documentation quite a lot, I'm quite creative so I was able to let my mind run free and build a world, the ways within and the people who reside there.
In terms of the storyboards I had actually finished them, but had to go back and change a few things. We had found some discrepancies in our story outline while checking over our documents and our narrative writer didn't seem up to fixing them. So, Zahra and I went back over it and made sure everything connected and also we added in some things to clear up a bit of a problem we had with the story. I had to speed run some drawings for our storyboard, but I managed to get it done in the end.
All in all, I have gained a lot of respect for narrative writers throughout this process and have also learned a lot. I am very grateful for this experience and I will definitely apply all that I have learnt wherever I can.
Thanks for reading, for the last time.
